Troopers charge three Cook Inlet gillnetters

From the Alaska State Troopers:

Location: Soldotna
Type: Commercial fish closed period
On 8/31/12 the Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Soldotna charged Steve R. Tvenstrup, 55, of Kenai, with commercial fishing with a drift gillnet in closed waters in Upper Cook Inlet. He was issued a summons to appear on 9/14/12 in Kenai District Court.

On 8/31/12 the Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Soldotna charged Scott C. Ely, 50, of Soldotna, with commercial fishing with a drift gillnet in closed waters in Upper Cook Inlet. He was issued a summons to appear on 9/14/12 in Kenai District Court.

On 8/30/12 the Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Soldotna charged Gerald T. Byrne, 63, of Soldotna, with commercial fishing with a drift gillnet in closed waters in Upper Cook Inlet. He was issued a summons to appear on 9/21/12 in Kenai District Court.

  1. Good old Steve Tvenstrup gets busted again. how many times is that for Steve and how many Cook Inlet Drift Fisherman does this make so far? That UCIDA group has set some records this year.
