Location: Copper River flats
Type: Commercial fish closed period
On 5/24/12 airborne Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Cordova Post, observed a vessel operating a drift gillnet during a closed period. The investigation revealed the vessel to be the Remora operated by Pete D. Hoepfner of Cordova. Subsequently he was issued a summons with an arraignment date of 6/13/12 in Cordova District Court.

ReplyDeleteHaving to many fish in the net and though they started picking early , fishing during a closed period makes it sound like they were on the sneak fishing sunday night when in fact it is nothing like that!
