Two Dungness crabbers accused of early fishing

From the Alaska State Troopers:

Location: Hoonah
Type: Dungeness crabbing closed season
On 6/15/11 Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Gregory Wallace, 61, of Sitka, and Theodore Suckling, 63, of Nenana, for commercial crabbing during a closed season. On opening day of the 2011 Dungeness crab season, troopers observed approximately 57 pots set in the waters of Freshwater Bay before the noon opening. The crab vessel Jeana Marie was observed nearby. Subsequent investigation revealed this boat had started setting pots approximately five hours before the opening. Arraignment set for 7/6/11 in Hoonah District Court.
