Troopers cite Bristol Bay salmon fishermen

Type: Commercial fish closed waters
On 6/21/11 Alaska Wildlife Troopers issued a summons to Joel Ludwig, 52, of Arlington, Wash., on the fishing vessel Match Point for commercial fishing in closed waters in the Egegik District of Bristol Bay. A second permit holder who was a minor was also issued a summons. An arraignment date was set for 7/15/11 in Naknek District Court.

Type: Operate driftnet too close to setnet
On 6/23/11 Kirk Eid, 50, of Washington state, was cited by Bristol Bay Wildlife Troopers for operating a drift gillnet within 100 feet of a set gillnet while commercial fishing in the Egegik District of Bristol Bay. An arraignment date was set for 7/14/11 in Naknek District Court.
