Dutch Harbor report

From the local police blotter:

Animal, June 6, 0932 hours — Patron at the Dutch Harbor post office received lacerations to the head after being attacked by a fiercely protective nesting bald eagle.

Animal, June 6, 1134 hours — Another patron at the Dutch Harbor post office received lacerations to the head after being attacked by a fiercely protective nesting bald eagle.

Assault, June 7, 0246 hours — Five intoxicated men began fighting with one another in front of the Harbor View bar, where they had continued to imbibe long after the bar had closed. An officer contacted the men's skipper and asked that he collect his drunken crew.

Theft, June 8 — Prescription medication was stolen from several vessels' medical kits, which had been left since April in an often-unsecured room at the UniSea facility. Under investigation.

Suspicious activity, June 8 — Business owner reported finding a counterfeit $100 bill amongst the cash he had recently received. Under investigation.

Public safety, June 10 — An officer advised an obviously intoxicated man, who was seated in the driver's seat of a vehicle outside the Harbor View bar, that he should take a taxi rather than risk being arrested for DUI. The driver took the officer's advice. The driver's captain was less understanding and berated the officer for having taken away his designated driver.
