Type: Commercial fish closed season
On 4/2/10 at approximately 1516 hours, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game announced that the 2010 Sitka sac roe herring fishery had closed. Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted the F/V Andy Sea, which still had fishing gear in the water after the closure in Eastern Channel near Sitka. The permit card holder and vessel operator, Bradford Scudder, 52, of Boise, Idaho, was cited for commercial fishing in a closed season. Scudder did not have his seine net closed before the closure of the fishery. Scudder will be arraigned in Sitka Court on April 27.
