Cook Inlet setnetter charged with crew violation

Type: Employ unlicensed crewmember
On 08-14-09 at approximately 1930 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted Howard Ryherd, age 62 of Soldotna, at the Soldotna Wildlife Trooper Post. Investigation revealed that Ryherd employed James Ryherd, who did not possess a valid crewmember license for the summer of 2009. James Ryherd worked for Howard Ryherd at a commercial setnet site on the Ninilchik Beach near Mile 129 of the Sterling Highway. Howard Ryherd was issued a citation with bail set at $260.
