Suspect sought in $100,000 theft from AMCC

Request for assistance of the public
Subject: Nonprofit fraud suspect sought


Detectives with Anchorage Police Department Financial Crimes Unit are seeking the assistance of the public in locating a person they believe has stolen over $100,000 using company credit cards, company accounts and false reimbursements. The victim of these crimes was the Alaska Marine Conservation Council, a nonprofit organization and the suspect is a former employee. The crimes are believed to have taken place over several months. As a result of these thefts, all paid employees were put on furlough and several employees have lost their jobs.

The suspect, Travis Robinson, a 36-year-old Anchorage resident, 5-foot-8, 190 pounds, brown hair and green eyes, is wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant which includes the charges of theft 1st, scheme to defraud, fraudulent use of an access device, and tampering with physical evidence.
