Troller kept undersized kings, troopers say

From the Alaska State Troopers:

Location: Sitka
Type: Possess undersized king salmon
On 12/28/15 Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted the fishing vessel Pacific Pearl during an offload of commercial troll-caught king salmon. Investigation showed that permit holder Maxwell L. Royall, 26, of Sitka, had retained five undersized king salmon. He was cited for possession of undersized king salmon with an arraignment set in Sitka District Court. The undersized fish were seized. Royall also was cited for employing an unlicensed crewman.

  2. 1:51pm you are an idiot, shame on you.the only thing that is pathetic is you attitude. I'm not sure the last time you were on the winter surf line but they all look like large trout.what's the difference of a 1/4 inch in 14 foot seas.some times It can go either way and it's a judgment call.you can throw the dead fish back over the side or run the risk of getting busted. Obviously you just don't know what you are talking about so don't get on here and run your mouth.

  3. umm, the only real moron is the one stating that they cant guarantee the 7 kings caught per day are of legal size. If you cant guarantee that, then you should find a new "line" of work! Go ahead and run your mouth, a sub legal fish is still a sub legal fish. Your better argument would be, I'm a troller and I cant read a tape measure!
