Troopers say Sitka halibut longliner lacked permit

On 8/5/12 Cody Loomis, 32, of Sitka, was issued a summons to appear in Sitka District Court for failing to have a Commercial Fisheries Entry Commission permit while commercial longlining. An investigation by the Sitka Wildlife Troopers showed that on 5/17/12, Loomis, captain of the F/V Dorothy Ann, attempted to land a catch of halibut without a CFEC permit.
