Six Cook Inlet gillnetters accused of illegal fishing

From the Alaska State Troopers:

Type: Commercial fish closed period
On 7/27/12 the Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Soldotna cited Joseph A. Malatesta, 46, of Soldotna. Malatesta was charged with commercial fishing with a drift gillnet in closed waters in Upper Cook Inlet. He was issued a summons to appear on 8/10/12 in Kenai District Court.

On 7/27/12 the Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Soldotna cited Gavin Keohane, 31, of Kenai. Keohane was charged with commercial fishing with a drift gillnet in closed waters in Upper Cook Inlet. He was issued a summons to appear on 9/21/12 in Kenai District Court.

On 7/29/12 the Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Soldotna cited Peter E. Deluca, 54, of Lowell, Mass. Deluca was charged with commercial fishing with a drift gillnet in closed waters in Upper Cook Inlet. He was issued a summons to appear on 9/7/12 in Kenai District Court.

On 7/29/12 Alaska Wildlife Troopers issued a summons to Fredrick E. Holmberg, 66, of Anchorage, for fishing a commercial drift gillnet in closed waters. Arraignment will be in Kenai District Court.
