Type: Multiple violations
On 1/8/23 Richard Scott Phillips, 37, of Wrangell, was issued a summons for two counts of commercial fishing while unregistered and two counts of failure to submit fish tickets within seven days.

Troopers cite Cook Inlet cod fisherman

Location: Seward
Type: Groundfish area registration
On 1/24/15 Alaska Wildlife Troopers issued a summons to Yakov Reutov, 44, of Sterling, on the F/V Dynasty, for participating in the Cook Inlet commercial Pacific cod fishery without first registering for the fishery with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game as required. Arraignment set for 2/10/15 in Seward District Court.

Two fishermen convicted, fined at Yakutat

From the Alaska State Troopers:

Location: Yakutat
Type: Conviction — failure to register
On 6/14/12 in Yakutat District Court, Roscoe Max, 43, of Yakutat, was convicted and fined $2,000 with $1,000 suspended for failing to register for the directed lingcod fishery. He also was placed on probation for one year, and ordered to forfeit the value of his harvest, which totaled $1,046.

Type: Conviction — file late fish tickets
On 6/14/12 in Yakutat District Court, Scott Chadwick, 43, of Yakutat, was convicted and fined $2,000 with $1,500 suspended for filing late fish tickets repeatedly in the fall of 2011. He also was placed on probation for 18 months.

Troopers: PWS cod fisherman lacked registration

From the Alaska State Troopers:

Location: Cordova, Prince William Sound
Type: Groundfish registration
On 9/14/11 Efery G. Reutov, 48, of Wasilla, operator and permit holder on the F/V Sea Dancer, was cited by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers for operating groundfish gear for Pacific cod within the registration area without a valid nonexclusive area registration. Arraignment set for 10/26/11 in Cordova District Court.

Invalid registration costs Juneau crabber $1,000

From the Alaska State Troopers:

Location: Juneau
Type: Update
On 3/17/11 Norval Nelson, 84, of Juneau, pled guilty in Juneau District Court to retaining commercial Tanner crab on board his vessel after he had invalidated his Tanner crab registration. Nelson was fined $1,000 with a $10 surcharge.

Troopers ticket Canadian fish tender at Sitka

From the Alaska State Troopers:

On 4/1/11 Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Sitka issued a summons to John Muren, 48, of Rosedale, British Columbia, for failing to register as a commercial tender in the Sitka sac roe herring fishery. Muren is scheduled to be arraigned on 4/12/11 in Sitka District Court.
