Two charged with offenses in Bristol Bay

Type: Sale of fish by nonpermit holder

On 7/2/25 Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Oliver Whitten, 32, from Seadrift, Texas, for sale of fish by nonpermit holder and supply false information on fish ticket.

Location: Dillingham

Type: Commercial fish closed period

On 6/29/25 Lowell Stambaugh, 75, from Naselle, Wash., was cited by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers for commercial fishing during a closed period in Nushagak Bay.

Dipnetter sold Copper River salmon, troopers say

On 3/13/13 William Wood, 53, of North Pole, was cited by Fairbanks Wildlife Troopers for selling 50 pounds of salmon he caught in the Cooper River personal use fishery with a dipnet. Arraignment set for 4/12/13 in Fairbanks District Court.
