From the local police blotter:
Assistance rendered, March 29, 0112 hours — Officer assisted with an EMS call in which an intoxicated individual had fallen off of his boat and into the water. The waterlogged drunkard belligerently declined medical attention while his rescuer, having lacerated his finger, was transported to the clinic.
Drunk disturbance, March 29, 0303 hours — Officers investigated a report that the wet and belligerent individual who was pulled from the water after falling off his vessel had been pushed into the water. The report could not be substantiated.
Sexual assault, March 29 — Jorge Rivera, 32, of Kennewick, Wash., was arrested on sexual assault charges after an investigation showed he attacked a female aboard a vessel.
Environmental, April 1 — Officers investigated a suspicious blue and green tinted discoloration running over the concrete and draining towards the ocean. The information was forwarded to the U.S. Coast Guard.
Theft, April 2 — Caller reported the theft of approximately 45 cans of whipped cream. Inspection of the video surveillance system revealed two suspects. Investigation continues.
Welfare check, April 2 — Caller reported her son had been abandoned by his fishing vessel in Dutch Harbor. Officers assisted her in comforting her forlorn baby boy.
