Dutch Harbor report

From the local police blotter:

Assault, Nov. 14, 2125 hours — Officers and EMS personnel responded to the F/V Alaska Juris, moored in Captains Bay, after the captain reported one of his crew had been stabbed by another. One crewman was treated by EMS for multiple stab wounds. Wayland A. Smith, 47, was taken into custody and removed from the vessel. He was arrested on charges of assault and tampering with evidence after he was treated and released from the clinic.

Ambulance request, Nov. 14, 2126 hours — EMS personnel provided care and transport for a man with multiple stab wounds.

Disorderly conduct, Nov. 14, 2207 hours — Officers responding the F/V Alaska Juris found themselves surrounded by several crewmen, one wielding a pipe, who were extremely upset about a recent assault and who attempted to get past officers to a man who had just been taken into custody. Two men were later taken into custody for their roles in the disturbance. Taylor Pepe Toelupe and Meafou Tuala were charged with riot, assault and interfering with arrest.
