From the Alaska State Troopers:
Location: Anchorage
Type: Drug interdiction
On 6/21/12 investigators with the Alaska State Troopers, Western
Alaska Alcohol and Narcotics Team, contacted 21-year-old Enrique Lino, of Las Cruces, N.M., at the Anchorage airport while he was waiting for his flight to Cordova. During the contact investigators informed Lino
that he was being detained pending application for a search warrant.
Lino attempted to run from investigators and then proceeded to resist
officers as he was detained. AST applied for and was granted a warrant to search Lino and his baggage. Pursuant to the search warrant
investigators seized approximately 2 ounces of black tar heroin and
approximately 1.5 ounces of methamphetamines, which were destined for
Cordova. The heroin has a street value in Anchorage of approximately
$29,000. The methamphetamine has a street value in Anchorage of
approximately $10,000. The value of both would be slightly more in
Cordova. Lino was transported to the Anchorage jail where his bail was
set at $50,000 cash plus a court-approved third party. Investigation
continues.
