Dutch Harbor report

From the local police blotter:

Ambulance request, Jan. 30 — EMS personnel responded to assist a person in need of medical attention from a passing ship.

Public safety, Feb. 1 — A man who was peeved about the amount of snow pushed against his home by road crews vented his frustration by rolling large snow boulders into the roadway. An officer advised against this course of action and helped the perturbed citizen remove said boulders from the road.

Assault, Feb. 2 — Processing plant employee reported being in fear for his life after being pushed in the chest and receiving a mean look from a coworker. Officers learned that language barriers and unfamiliarity with plant equipment had prompted the alleged altercation.

Ambulance request, Feb. 3 — EMS personnel provided care and transport to a man whose legs had been crushed by a 1,600-pound pallet.

Animal, Feb. 4 — A dog, which had made itself at home in a processing plant galley, was impounded and lodged in far less tasty digs.
