On 5/24/10 Cordova Wildlife Troopers cited Joel Petrzelka, 54, of Bow, Wash., for commercial fishing while acting as the permit holder aboard the F/V Phazer without a picture ID in possession. Arraignment is scheduled for 6/30/10 in Cordova District Court.

On 5/24/10 Cordova Wildlife Troopers cited Avtanom Reutov, 24, of Homer, for operating the F/V Flipsyde while not displaying Alaska Department of Fish and Game numbers. Arraignment is scheduled for 6/30/10 in Cordova District Court.

On 5/24/10 Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Avtanom Reutov, 24, of Homer, for commercial fishing without a vessel license in possession aboard the F/V Flipsyde. Arraignment is scheduled for 6/30/10 in Cordova District Court.

On 5/24/10 Cordova Wildlife Troopers cited James Day, 49, of Tacoma, Wash., for commercial fishing aboard the F/V Gentle Ben approximately 43 minutes after the period closed. Arraignment is scheduled for 6/30/10 in Cordova District Court.

Type: Commercial fish closed waters
On 5/27/10 Cordova Wildlife Troopers observed the F/V Westnet commercial fishing 4.95 nautical miles into closed waters. On 5/28/10 Alexandre Reutov, 24, of Homer, was cited for commercial fishing in closed waters and illegal possession. The F/V Westnet was seized. Arraignment was held in Cordova District Court on 6/4/10, where Reutov pled guilty to the charges. On 6/4/10 the F/V Westnet was returned to Reutov.

On 5/27/10 Cordova Wildlife Troopers observed the F/V Battlefield commercial fishing in closed waters. On 5/30/10 Lazary Kuzmin, 33, of Homer, was cited for commercial fishing in closed waters. Arraignment is scheduled for 6/30/10 in Cordova District Court.

On 5/30/10 Cordova Wildlife Troopers cited Robert Cunningham Jr., 21, of Cordova, for operating his drift gillnet in a manner not conforming to its design aboard the F/V Hard Rain. Arraignment is scheduled for 6/30/10 in Cordova District Court.

On 5/30/10 Cordova Wildlife Troopers cited Jon Nichols, 23, of Cordova, for operating his drift gillnet in a manner not conforming to its design aboard the F/V Copper Dream. Arraignment is scheduled for 6/30/10 in Cordova District Court.

On 5/31/10 Cordova Wildlife Troopers cited Nikita Kuzmin, 36, of Homer, for commercial fishing in closed waters while acting as permit holder aboard the F/V Grom 3. Arraignment is scheduled for 6/30/10 in Cordova District Court.

On 5/31/10 Cordova Wildlife Troopers cited Yelena Bogatyreva, 52, of Cordova, for commercial fishing in closed waters while acting as permit holder aboard F/V Shock Wave. Arraignment is scheduled for 6/30/10 in Cordova District Court.

On 6/7/10 Cordova Wildlife Troopers observed the F/V Net Profit commercial fishing in closed waters. On 6/8/10 David Carlson, 21, of Cordova, was cited for commercial fishing in closed waters while acting as the permit holder aboard the F/V Net Profit. Arraignment is scheduled for 6/30/10 in Cordova District Court.

Lack of CFEC card hooks halibut fisherman

On 10/15/09, Kenneth S. Phippen, 34 yoa, of Sitka, was charged by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Seward Post, for possessing and attempting to land approximately 24,000 pounds of commercially caught halibut without a 2009 CFEC card. Arraignment was set in the Seward District Court on 11/17/09.

On 10/15/09, Jesse J. Jeske, 29 yoa, of Sitka, was cited by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Seward Post, for failing to have a photo ID when using his CFEC card in lieu of a commercial crew license. Arraignment was set in the Seward District Court on 11/17/09.
