Kodiak crewman arrested on warrant

From the Alaska State Troopers:

Location: Kodiak harbor
Type: Warrant arrest
On 11/13/13 Kodiak Wildlife Troopers arrested Chad D. Carlson, 33, of Kodiak, on an outstanding warrant for multiple counts of failing to appear in court and petitions to revoke probation. Carlson was a crewmember onboard the F/V Provider at the time of arrest.

Crewman arrested at Dutch in identity theft case

From the Alaska State Troopers:

Location: Dutch Harbor
Type: Identity theft
On 12/14/11 Dutch Harbor Wildlife Troopers arrested Omar Ivan Villanueva, 30, of East Wenatchee, Wash., for forgery in the second degree, criminal impersonation in the second degree, and two counts of activities by aliens prohibited. Troopers were made aware of Villanueva using a Social Security number of an individual out of Texas and a fraudulent alien registration card. Villanueva was a crewmember onboard a commercial fishing vessel which is a prohibited activity for an illegal alien.

Crewman jailed at Unalaska on warrant

From the Alaska State Troopers:

Location: Dutch Harbor
Type: Warrant arrest
On 8/5/11 Christopher R. Laier, 39, of Libby, Mont., was arrested by Dutch Harbor Wildlife Troopers on an Unalaska warrant. The original charge was for driving while license suspended or revoked. Laier was arrested off the F/V Frontier Explorer and booked into the Unalaska jail without incident.

Alaska Spirit crewman arrested at Dutch Harbor

From the Alaska State Troopers:

Location: Unalaska
Type: Arrest warrant
On 4/28/10 Dutch Harbor Wildlife Troopers conducted a vessel boarding on the F/T Alaska Spirit at Unalaska Harbor. Contacted onboard the vessel was crewmember William S. Brown, 48, of Everett, Wash. Brown was discovered to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failure to appear at arraignment for the original charge of no valid operator's license. Brown was arrested and remanded to the Unalaska City Jail on $100 cash bail.

Skipper accused of assaulting crewman

From the Alaska State Troopers:

Type: Assault
On 11/26/09 at approximately 1500 hours a 43-year-old male resident of Kodiak reported to AST that he was assaulted by the skipper of the fishing vessel upon which he was a crewmember. The incident is under investigation.

Kodiak skipper charged with DUI, assault

From the Alaska State Troopers:

Location: Afognak Island
Type: DUI and assault
On 8/13/09 at approximately 1604 hours a crewmember of the F/V Neva reported the captain, Kyle Mead, age 32 of Kodiak, had assaulted him on the boat. Investigation revealed that the assault and injury to the crewman took place while under way near Afognak Island. Further investigation revealed Mead was also navigating the F/V Neva while impaired by alcohol. Mead was arrested for driving while under the influence and assault.
