Type: Commercial fishing closed waters
On 10-10-09 at approximately 1600 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers from the Cordova Post contacted Andrew Larson, age 29, of Stanwood, Wash. Investigation revealed that Larson was operating a drift gillnet in waters closed to commercial fishing aboard the F/V Mud Dog on 06-17-09 in the Eshamy District. A summons was issued to appear in the Cordova District Court for arraignment on 10-28-09.

On 6-28-09 Jerome Kummerfeldt, 44 yoa, of Granite Falls, Wash., was cited by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Valdez Post. Kummerfeldt was issued a citation for commercial fishing in closed waters outside the Eshamy District, western Prince William Sound. Arraignment scheduled in the Cordova Court on 7-29-09.

On 6-27-09 Matthew Romens, 41 yoa, of Cordova, was cited by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Valdez Post. Romens was issued a citation for commercial fishing in closed waters outside the Eshamy District, western Prince William Sound. Arraignment scheduled in the Cordova Court on 7-29-09.

On 6-29-09 Alexis Hankins, of Oregon, was cited by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Valdez Post. Hankins was issued a citation for commercial fishing aboard a tender without a 2009 commercial crewmember license in the Eshamy District, western Prince William Sound. Bail set at $260 in the Cordova Court.

Type: Illegal commercial fishing activity — anchored gear
On 6-20-09, at 1610 hours, Iosif Reutov, 35 yoa, of Oregon, was cited by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Valdez Post, for operating his drift gillnet outside of its basic design. Reutov was operating a drift gillnet that was fixed to the beach on one end, in Esther Passage. Arraignment scheduled in the Cordova Court on 7-29-09.

On 06-20-09, at approximately 0435 hours, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Cordova Post, contacted Randy Merritt, age 44, of Cordova, aboard the F/V R&R in the Eshamy Fishing District. Investigation revealed that Merritt was operating a drift gillnet in waters closed to commercial fishing. A summons was issued to appear in the Cordova Court for arraignment on 07-29-09.

Copeland was cited after his drift gillnet and boat went over the line in the Eshamy District fishery. Arrangement is set for Cordova District Court on 7/29/09.
