Assault reported on vessel near Afognak Island

On 8/13/14 at 0410 hours, Alaska State Troopers were notified of an assault that had occurred on the F/V Crimson Tide on the waters near Afognak Island. Randall Carter, 43, of Soldotna, reported he had been assaulted by two men from the F/V Cora Maria. The investigation continues.

On 8/15/09 Timothy Gossett, 54 yoa, of Kodiak, was cited by Wildlife Troopers for commercial fishing for salmon in the Inner Kitoi Bay Section of the Afognak District after the 3 p.m. commercial closure.
