Type: Commercial fish closed area
On 10/6/15 Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Prince of Wales Island Post, contacted divers on the F/V Resurrection after they commercially harvested sea cucumbers in closed waters near Kasaan. Both divers, Thomas Trumper, 67, of California, and Charles Bremer, 38, of Ketchikan, were issued summonses to appear in Craig District Court. The fish product was seized pending forfeiture to the state of Alaska.

Troopers say raft lacked license to haul sea cukes

Location: Tenakee
Type: Failure to license commercial vessel
On 10/2/12 Michael K. Reif, 57, of Sitka, was cited for using an inflatable raft to tender commercially caught sea cucumbers without having it licensed with the Commercial Fisheries Entry Commission. Reif's crewmember was using the boat to retrieve and drag back bags of sea cucumbers to their main dive vessel.
