• Shoreside processor owner Peter Pan Seafood-King Cove LLC and managers Colby B. Boulton, Trevor Milich and Ryan Piliae were charged jointly and severally under the Magnuson-Stevens Act with exceeding the maximum commerce allowance amount for rockfish. A written warning was issued.

Bunkhouse beating reported at Peter Pan cannery

Type: Assault
The morning of 7/29/09, J. Christopher Burton, age 43, of Tacoma, Wash., a crew member aboard a commercial fishing boat, was severely beaten by another fisherman inside the Peter Pan cannery bunkhouse in Port Moller. Burton's injuries were treated by the PA at the cannery clinic. On 8/1/09 Burton was flown into Anchorage, where he received additional treatment at Alaska Regional Hospital before being released to return to his home in Washington on 8/2/09. The incident is under investigation by AST.
